I loved the idea of reusing 360 vodka bottles as second fermentation bottles, as they have the flip top lid.

That is, until I had to spend an hour cleaning my kitchen due to an explosion. The pieces of the bottle varied in thickness from 1/16 to more than 1/4". Very inconsistent. I don't recommend using these bottles as a second ferment vessel.

Yikes! I've never had that happen but my husband was quite upset when he had to clean up the glass and frozen kombucha from our bar fridge.... that we keep outside the back door.... and we had sub zero weather...... for over a week.

Apparently, he was hearing explosions..... oh dear. I forgot about what happens to glass bottles when the contents freeze. The survivors are now in my unheated spare room.

Good to know that vodka bottles are not suitable.

It's best to go with bottles designed to hold some pressure (which is why I recommend the EZ latch style bottles which can handle a decent amount of pressure).
