My scoby has mold?

    Hi, I start brew Kombucha recently and Im not sure my scoby grows properly even I ve read the articels and puctures thru online.
    This is my 8 days old scoby and this morning I found sevral blue or black dots on my scoby. Im not sure it is mold or not.:(

    Nope, not mold. That's a bit of yeast.

    Mold won't be under the scoby, it will be on top and will be fuzzy... generally. I'm pretty sure you'll know it if you see it.

    Hello! Can someone tell me if this is normal? This is my 4th batch and I've never seen the black stuff under the scoby before. What is it? I seen on another post where someone said mold will only grow on the top and never on the bottom.

    Ah, the yeasty beasty.... no mold. :)

    I think i have developed this also. Is it best to leave scoby alone or can we trim the black off? Thank you

    Leave it alone while it's brewing. I usually just wipe it off with my fingers before putting the scoby into the next batch.
