Should I toss it all?

    Hello,
I was brewing some kombucha and the scoby was in the bottom of the jar. A new scoby was forming on the top and when I looked it had two small spots of mold. I understand that the kombucha should be scrapped, but what about the mother scoby, is that also lost? It's my only one. Thank you.

From what I understand, if you have mold, get rid of it all... the entire batch, including the mother that's in the brew. Sorry.

Yep, when you have mold, everything goes into the garbage! Start again with a NEW SCOBY and new tea!
