Almond milk kefir
I am trying almond milk kefir after doing milk kefir for several years.The scoby on the top of my second batch of almond milk kefir had some pink coloring in it. I removed it (scoby) and put it in the seive and rinsed it with filtered water. the pink was sort of a slime. What is the pink? Is it bad? Has it ruined my grains? The first batch I used date paste for food. There were some date particles with the grains when i started the second batch. I used unrefined pure cane sugar for food this time. Thoughts? Answers?
