- fresh applesdiced

Apples are great any season but they are especially great in the fall. The weather starts to get cool, the cool crisp air is the perfect weather to go picking apples off the tree. If you don’t have access to an orchard close by, you ma want to just go to your local store and pick up your apples to enjoy.
There are so many desserts and dishes that you can make with your apples. You can heat them for a baked treat or you can eat them right off the vine. While some prefer to take the peelings off of the apples prior to consuming them, others appreciate the taste the peelings can bring to the taste buds.
This recipe calls for apples and whether you are using canned apples or you simply want to pick them up while you are out. Apples are nutritious in so many ways. Prepare the ingredients
Cut your apple in half and set one half aside for another recipe. With the other half, peel it and dice it or cube it into small sized cubes and place in a small pot with 1/8 cup of water. Add the sugar to the apples and water and stir. Turn the heat on medium and bring the apples up to a boil. Place the lid on the apples and turn the temperature down to low, stirring frequently. Remove from the heat when the apples are soft and the water is absorbed.
Cooling the apples
Set the apples to the side and allow them to cool.
Add apples to the blender
Add the spices to the blender
Add the milk kefir
Turn the blender on and blend all the ingredients together until you no longer see any chunks.
Place the mixture into a glass and put the glass in the freezer for ten minutes to chill before serving.
Note: You can use applesauce in place of fresh apples if you choose to. If you want to substitute with applesauce, simple pour in ¼ cup of unsweetened applesauce that has been chilling in the refrigerator. Omit the sugar from the recipe.
