When it’s hot outside, you want to drink something that is cold and refreshing. It’s easy to be tempted by those sugary drinks that give you a short term pick-me-up but are not good for you. Instead of reaching for those drinks, create your own tropical drink that is healthy and delicious.

For this recipe, you will need milk kefir. This is a simple and delicious way to get your digestive back on track and staying on track. If you haven’t made kefir drinks before, you can find the recipe here. If you have, then you already know how good they taste and how you can turn a simple glass into a multitude of taste to suit your mood.

For this recipe, you will need bananas. You know bananas are nutritious but do you know what all it can actually do? Bananas are ideal if you are trying to lose weight. It is hard to find the right combination of food that won’t add to many carbs or fat to your diet but tastes good too. Bananas are super good and they are easy to digest as well. There are no fats in bananas but they do container lots of fiber which will ultimately make you feel fuller. Consuming a banana prior to eating will decrease your appetite and have you down to the size that you want to when you incorporate this fruit into a balanced diet with exercise. This fiber is also great at relieving constipation. It’s hard to eat a balanced meal all the time and if you add stress on top of that, you are going to get an unbalanced digestive system. Bananas can help to balance you out and put you back on track.

Bananas are also good at protecting your beating heart. Bananas contain potassium which can help to lower your blood pressure as it relaxes the veins tension. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly too. If you want to improve your immune system, improve your vision, help to build bones stronger, bananas can do that.

Another ingredient in this recipe is the Mango. If you haven’t tried mango before, you need to go out right now and get one. Okay, you don’t have to go right now but do get one when you get the chance. Mango’s are a tropical fruit that not many people will try but when you eat a mango, you are getting all the sweetness that you can’t find in other fruits. Mangos can actually help decrease your chances of developing cancer, can lower your cholesterol, can help your skin clear up, improve the health of your eyes, and can alkalize the entire body. While all of these may not be important to you right now, they will be in the future. Mango’s are great at boosting the immune system because it has increased levels of vitamin C.

When you tally up the nutritional value of the milk kefir, followed by the sweet taste and benefits of consuming bananas, and topping it all off with the tropical taste and benefits from a mango, you are talking about one super delicious and nutritious drink that you can feel good about serving yourself or your family.

Now, it’s time to make this delicious concoction that will have your taste buds wanting more.
