    You may not always like the taste of pineapple but when you have a craving for it, you will want to try this recipe. It combines the delicious taste of pineapple with a few other tropical ingredients to make you think you are in the tropics.

    If you haven’t heard yet, kombucha is a tea that is fermented and because of this process, it is helping the digestive system, detoxing the body, and creating a general overall improvement in health. It’s great for adults to drink it but it’s also beneficial for kids too. However, kids aren’t always welcoming to new things, including trying drinks that they don’t recognize but if you can get them to take a drink of kombucha, they will love it! You can flavor your kombucha with many different flavorings, one of which is pina colada.

    This recipe is going to get the kids excited and they will ask for it often once the kombucha is gone. What is in pina colada? This recipe consists of coconut extra, sliced pineapple, and pineapple juice concentrate. Coconut is going to healthy for your kids because it offers antibacterial and antiviral properties. Coconut also has some of the important vitamins and minerals that are necessary in every day health; copper, iron, and potassium just to name a few. Coconut can be purchased as a whole, in coconut flakes, coconut extract, or coconut juice.

    Pineapple also has it’s own benefits which includes the ability to improve respiratory health, help with cough and colds, improve the entire digestive system, help to lose weight, help to strengthen bones, improve the health of your mouth, and help to fight infections as well as parasites that may be trying to attack your body. Pineapples are available as a whole fruit, sliced, diced and canned, or as pineapple juice and juice concentrate. There are so many options to help you in the kitchen to prepare the dishes you need with ease.

    Mix all ingredients

    Measure all ingredients carefully to ensure a balance of coconut, pineapple, and kombucha

    Add it to the kombucha

    Pour the mixture into the kombucha, scraping the bowl to ensure everything goes into the kombucha

    Place the lid on the jar tightly and then shake the mixture up a couple of times

    Second fermentation

    Leave the mixture on the counter for another twenty-four hours to allow the flavors to come together.
