Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
1 liter of water filtered water
1/4 cup of organic sugar Sucanat, rapadura, or cane will do
1/2 egg shell cleaned and crumbled
1/8 teaspoon of sea salt refined
1/2 or 2 teaspoon of molasses teaspoons of maple syrup
1/4 - 1/2 cup of kefir eater grains
1/4 cup of blueberry
14 cup of pomegranate seeds

    Boil one cup of the filtered water on the stove

    Once it is boiling, remove from the heat and move to step 2. Boiling the water will make it easier for the ingredients in step 2 to dissolve.

    Dissolve three things

    The first step in this process is to dissolve sugar, sea salt, and either molasses or maple syrup which ever you want to use.

    Cool down the mixture

    Allow the sugar, salt, and molasses mixture to cool down to room temperature before proceeding to step 4.

    Pour the liquid into a jar

    Wipe the rim of the jar and place the lid on it.

    Set at room temperature

    Place the jar in a spot in your kitchen that is away from direct sunlight. Leave the jar sitting undisturbed for up to 36 hours to give the grains time to activate and work together.

    Pour the liquid off of the kefir grains an place the grains into the next batch

    Add the blueberries and pomegranate

    Add the berries and pomegranate seeds to the kefir water and refrigerate until cold.
