- 1½ teaspoon of lavender
- 1½ teaspoon of chamomile
If you could bottle the taste of summertime, what would it taste like? There are so many different flavors that could be placed in the bottle but this recipe consists of lavender and chamomile. Kombucha is great on it’s own but sometimes you need a little more flavoring and tha’ts where these two ingredients come into play.
Lavender is a natural flavor that doesn’t need anything added to it to get the sweet delicious taste and flavor. Lavender is light purple in color and is well known to be a relaxing herb. While many try to imitate the aroma, nothing can compare t genuine lavender. Use lavender to relieve stress, promote sleep, decrease inflammation, prevent infections, and decrease stomach bloat. Once lavender is planted, it grows quickly and spreads rapidly so if you plan to create your own lavender garden, you only need a few plants to get you started.
Chamomile has similar benefits as lavender; it’s good for stomach bloating, it can reduce stress, and it contains additional values such as antibacterial and antifungal. Chamomile is great for relaxation and can calm a soothing baby, help to reduce anxiety at any age, and is great in a hot tea when you have a sore throat.
Kombucha is also packed full of healthy benefits from aiding with stomach issues to aiding the immune system. When you combine the fresh taste of kombucha with the fresh taste of chamomile and lavender, you get a delicious and healthy drink you will want to make often.
While brewing your kombucha, you will want to stop after the first ferment process is complete and before you add the kombucha to the bottles to ferment for three days. If you haven’t made kombucha so far, here is the recipe
Equipment you will need to make Summertime Flavored Kombucha
* Measuring cups and spoons
* 6 – 8 ounce bottles, water or soda bottles that have been washed out and cleaned

Place the bottles in a dark area of your kitchen where it's not too hot or cold and leave them for three days. This will give the kombucha time to absorb the flavor and finish it's brewing process.
