A bit of an oder…
I started a scoby back in April and have not had a chance to do anything with it. It is now the end of July. It is starting to emit an odor like dried porcini mushrooms. A bit pungent but tolerable. Anyway, does this have any affect on the effectiveness of the scoby? Can I try to brew a batch with this? I’m a greenhorn / newbie and have almost no clue so any help would be greatly appreciated.
